Hey guy question. I have my holding tank but there are no fish in it at the moment, how long will the bacteria live in it without fish. Thanks

Feed it every once and a while little bits of food will decay turning to ammonia for the bb to live on while you have it empty

A hospital tank really isn't able to keep beneficial bacteria in it due to copper based medications and hyposalinity will kill it off. This is why daily water changes, if not more, are required to maintain an ammonia free environment during treatment.
