How can you have the lighting for LR but not the algae???
I already get algae from too much day light in my bright room. How can I get the LR and not the algae?

Is the tank in front of a window, if so, daylight causes major algae issues.
Using RO/DI, having proper circulation, and keeping your parameters in check with regular water changes are the key.

Oh Ok..yes, the tank is in front of a window, which is covered. But while I was on vacation it fell down! I am also going to put a solar screen outside to help with the lighting.
