It has been about 6 weeks since my 3Gal Picotope tank has cycled.
I used live rock and live sand with Tropic Marin to obtain a 1.025 saline concentration. Small HOB filter that came with the tank is running nicely. The tank cycled w/o any livestock in a few weeks but now it has been 6 weeks since the cycle still w/o any livestock and I am wondering if I can introduce one small goby or blemy at this point OR should I try a few drops of pure ace hardware ammonia to start the cycle again and when it completes intro the fish?
Current readings today 11/11/11 before changing anything are:
NO3 10
NO2 0
pH 8.5
ALK 240

Cycle again. You've lost all the bacteria.

Very possible. If you do a fishless cycle, and don't put anything in after it's done, then the BB starve & die. What you should have done is continue to dose with small amounts of ammonia to maintain the cycle until you were ready for fish.....
Easiest way to check is add some ammonia over the next few of days and test. If everything still drops to 0 after a few consecutive doses, then you lucked out.
