How long should I wait?

Last week I put 2 clownfish in my tank, but ive notice I really need a sand sifting fish... the substrate is really starting to get dirty and some algae is spreading on it.. So I was thinking about getting a spotted goby or a dragon goby, How long should I wait to add these guys?

how old is the tank?

I would wait a week after you have stable parameters, to give the bacteria time to adjust to the bioload.

If your tanks big enough then get a diamond goby. Theyre supposed to be amazing. Good luck.
