How much live rock per gallon?

I have a 55 gallon tank (48"x18"x12"). How much rock should I get? Is about 1 pound per gallon good? Thanks.

JW

Is thie LR and a skimmer going to be your only filtration? To use LR as a filtering system you would need 1.5 to 2 lbs per gallon of tank.

depending on your expected bioload I would go for the 2 lbs to be on the safe side. JMHO

when you are calculating the lbs per gallon for live rock do you include sump volume or just the main?
