Hey guys. Just wondering if ich and other saltwater fish diseases can be spread by hermits, snails, or emerald crabs or are they only introduced on fish? I want to pick up a few more snails and an emerald crab for my 55 gal that has cycled. Currently have two clowns,4 hermits, 5 snails. I am going to be getting a few cardinals for my QT and just want to know if I have to quarantine my inverts. Thanks.

Not really sure about diseases but the parasite is fish only from my understanding.

In the very small chance that the little bit of LFS water you get into your tank (assuming you acclimate the inverts in a bucket) I would say it is slim to none that ich would get into the tank. I would say the same about some diseases.

Ick needs fish to complete it's life cycle. there is no discussion. no fish equals no ick. the life cycle is 4-6 weeks. no fish in the tank for 6 weeks = no ick
