ick

So i got ick in my main display...i took all the fish out n put them in quarantine tank w/ copper. So now my main display has been sitting fishless for the last 2 weeks. How do i know when the ick has all died? How long should i wait before adding fish back to tank? Was told the ick would starve out without fish.

They usually say to leave the tank empty for 8 weeks

Frog has it correct 6 to 8 weeks is the usual time. If you want to be totally safe go with the 8
