I got a water conditioner for my tank when I first got it can I use it when putting it into fresh water for adding to the tank after evaporation

You shouldn't need a conditioner if you are using ro or ro-di water water for top offs and if your tank is a reef tank you should be using the best water anyways

I agree with the above post, if you are using ro.di water you dont need any conditioners.

Not so much for the tap water but it helps the fish like giving them a protective shield from getting sick

I have never, not once used a conditioner in any of my salt tanks and never had any issues with slime coat.
