Is this star reef safe?

When I purchased this starfish I was told it was reef safe, then someone told me that it was not so I moved it to my smaller tank. I was wondering if anyone knew for sure if it is reef safe or not. I would love to put it back into the 55gal tank.

Usually "knobby" type starfish are not reef safe.

do you know if they need to be eating anything specific, i have not been able to find any specific info on this type.

LA says they are NOT reef safe and they say as far as feeding, "In the aquarium, the diet can consist of chopped clams, shrimp, fish, and squid fed once a week."
