Issues with butterfly fish
I recently bought 2 threadfin butterfly fish. One made it about 4 days b4 it died, the other made it about 7 days b4 it died. I have several other fish including a yellow tang, foxface, 2 clowns, korean angel, and black sailfin blenny. All of these fish are do fine but what happened to my butterfly. I am mixing pellets w/ garlic and flake food. Was i not feeding the butterflies the right food or does anyone know what might have happened?

Auriga butterflies need to get some sort of vegetation in their diet. Supplement with some broccoli or dried seaweed. Also give them frozen and freeze-dried foods containing algae.

If you should get another one make sure you see the fish eat at the LFS before you buy it. Those could have been not eating at the LFS and the owner was trying to get rid of them before they died. Everybody should make it a point to see all fish eat before you buy them. Follow smn`s advice on vegetable matter. Here is some info on your butterfly fish.
