large snail

I bought my first large snail last week in my 75 gal comm tank.do they just eat off the glass?the only algae in my tank is the back glass

It depends on the snail. If you don't have enough algae for it, it will starve. What kind of snail? Mexican turbo? If so, they will eat nori if you have little algae growing.

tell you the truth I never ased the store.i guess I should call tomorrow.i cant give a picture but on the top of the shell it looks like it has a top on it and he has two antenas coming from the front or mouth

All of the algae eating snails will eat nori. You can get it at the supermarket.

I agree with the other posters.. I have a bunch of hermits and trochus snails, every two days I put some nori in the tank rubber banned to a rock for them to eat.. My anemone crab and reef lobster get a silverside each when I feed my eels.. Always good to supplement your inverts' diet..
