I recently purchased a lemonpeel angel for my FOWLR tank. I was experimenting around with angels that might work in a reef type setting, but now I know for sure that lemonpeel angels are definitely not trustworthy in a reef. I was eventually going to add corals to this tank, but I first wanted to study the lemonpeels behavior before doing so. This fish is such a "picker" it is unbelievable. The few mushrooms that were on the live rock have been gobbled up. My 90 or so nassarius snails are harrased constantly. Starfish and cleaner shrimp are also pecked at occasionally.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this fish from constantly picking? Its a beautiful fish.

Lemonpeels are the MOST likely of all pygmy angels to nip at corals. I don't know why, they just are. Sorry to say but the only way to stop it is to remove the fish. Even w/ other pygmies it's a crap shoot-at best 50/50 chance.
