Today I brought a beautiful leopard wrasse. In the LFS he buried straight into the sand when they went to catch him. I have acclimatized him and added to the tank and he has gone straight into the sand. That was about 6 hrs ago and he still hasn't made an appearance. How long is it normal for them to hide before I need to worry ?

ive been told that they will hide like that for a couple days to a week. so id like him be for a bit and let him come out when he wants. he will want to feed eventually and id make sure to keep food ready for him. maybe drop some in every few days to entice him out

Wouldn't worry. He will come out soon enough. As long as you got a lot of hiding places for him! I would start to worry if he is not out in a few days. Just let him be and he should be fine!
