Clean it and soak it in another tank for a week or so for dying stuff to finish dying.
 
If the LR is dry, then you'll have to put it in a container with a heater and SW and cure it so that the dead stuff can come off and not cause a mini cycle. But if its from your LFS' tank and is brought home in water and not let dry out, then you can put it directly in the tank. I would be cautious about adding too much at once to a cycled tank, no matter if it comes wet or dry.
