live rock in wet/dry

I have read about using live rock in wet/dry filters. Do you use live rubble as you would bioballs? I know you trickle the water over bioballs. Do you do the same over live rubble, or is there something different?

The lr rubble has to be completely submerged.

Keep it completely covered. I have a pic in my gallery of my sump with the LR rubble in it if you are interested.

if the lr is not always submerged the nitrifying bacteria will die off and give no biological filtration.
