New setup have about 20lbs of live rock in my 55 gallon, was just offered another 70lbs. Is 90lbs to much to have in a 55 gallon?

No way! I had a 30 long years back with around 80 pounds of Fiji. I think that would be great for a 55. Think of the filtration capacity, hiding places for fish and coral placement options! I'd jump on that offer.

A rule most go by is 1 1/2 to 2 pounds per gal. so 90 would be perfect. It also depends on the look you like.
