live rock shipment - what to expect - update

Just surprised me it happend that fast. I have some new water going right now. I guess saturday will be water change day.

After getting all this rock, I don't know I could get another 80-90lbs in there

BTW, do you all scrub the rock while curing? The pamphlet I got with the rock said to. I am not really sure what should be scrubbed off though. There are not to many white patches but there appear to be some stuff that might have been alive at some point. Some black stuff is there too.

I do when i have rock that has alot of die off.

Take a wiff of the rock. Anthing that smells so foul or smells as if its death warmed over then scrub it. If it is black and slmy scrub it. if its white and slimy scrub it.

Rather than scrub, I usually make up a 5 gallon bucket of SW and swish it, if there is visible die off.

I ended up taking a toothbrush and lightly brusing the ok. I had swished the rock in a bucket before placing it in the tank originally. There were a few dead worms coming out of holes and some stuff I have no idea what it was.

I cleaned off the black stuff mainly though.
