Alright Check thos out...

So I received and Email from Marc Today and just read the email. I sent him on Dec 16th 2008 and check out his response to my email.... I think this guy clearly has way to much on his plate. I think this could be a reason most folks have never receive there shipment from him or have delay in there shipments

Hello Frankie,
This shipment is in port and we will be shipping just as soon as customs clears it and we can get a flight out to pack. We will be flying out and shipping from CA so as to save the time it usually takes on truck to us.

Thanks
Marc

I only state this because my shipment is already shipped and is Still Out for Delivery. Oh and he did not use FedEx as his website states he ended up shipping with DHL

I have tried to email this company twice this week to ask a question about purchasing some rock...they have yet to reply...is the overall opinion here that they can't be trusted?

NO....Trust me! Marc's rock is the BEST. I have met him personally and he is a good guy. You can't get better rock than Marc's and many people don't understand until they see it in their reef or fowlr.

Never stated he is a bad guy just think he has a lot on his plate and not enough help with his orders...:)

I think people seem to be having to wait for fiji. I got my 20# of florida dry in about 3-4 days. I wouldnt worry yet :)

I just bought 20 pounds of Fiji, no wait local at 5.5 #.

I have read lots of forums about people waiting LONG time to get their Fiji orders from Marco Rock. I am also curious to see how the Florida rock looks when you guys get it in. I hope its not too dense/heavy and solid with very little pores. I was very happy with my base rock the caribsea south seas lace rock. I have some pictures of it in my 180 build thread.

I just picked them up from DHL finally worst carrier Ever. But very nice pieces and I got about 7 pieces 4 large piece and 3 almost softball size pieces looks great I got them soaking in SW as we speak but I had to rinse them off because if it being banged around so much from the Carrier having it for 3 days at my local Distrabution Center, if anyone is using DHL for Shipping don't there Service SUCKS they could not deliver my shipment ontime if there life depended on it.. But I am happy with my pick up's great piece's

Tank...were you able to get some pics of your rock from Marco?

I have a 50# fiji pre-order with them and getting anxious

Cheers

It does not help that they are exiting the North American market, for domestic shipping...

DHL: Press Releases

Just in time. You sure that wasn't Santa?

Just remember, those are going to need to be cured. Marco base is notorious for dried up organics. Which is what makes them so good also :p

Merry Christmas Tankster :x-mas:\

Ho Ho Ho

If it's an already established tank, place in a bucket with a power head and heater.. and let run till the Amm/Nit/Nat cycle runs it's course, doing PWC's along the way. Skimmer optional.

If you're cycling your tank at the same time.. Plop plop in the tank and cycle away. Ammonia source provided free of charge.

Here are The Pictures as Promised

Well after day one I check my parameters just to see if there was any ammonia readings and sure enough there was. 0.50ppm It was a surprising spike after only being in SW for only 15hrs. My nitrate and Nitrite were both at zero still. I did a water change this morning to make sure I get out all the ammonia thats been released in the water since I am not running a skimmer. PH and heater only. But here are what the Beauties look like... I will do another water change in 4 days and cheak parameter readings.

Enjoy.
