more live rock

bought a factory built live rock for my eel only tank. I want to remove it and go back to more live rock instead. Is this going to freak out my eel. He has built some tunnels underneath some of the live rock that is already there. If I remove the fake stuff it might ruin some of his tunnels. Ideas on this anyone?

It will stress him a little but remember the reef gets some huge storms and it changes the landscape so it's not something out the norm for him who knows he may even like to dig a new home.
