moving tank

I am going to try to leave the sand in the tank. I have a 30g tank that I am considering putting te fish in until the main settles. It will be like putting them in a qt right? What do you think will be less srtessful for the fish? If I put them in buckets they won't have to go thru the stress of being caught again.I'll just pour them in gently.

Make sure the temperature is the same. If it's not all the same water you should drip acclimate.

It may not be a bad idea to put them in the 30 gallon with a filter running if it is going to take you a long time.

You could fill it with water from your main tank so thier would be no acclimation issues, fire up filter , and then you could just take your time moving the main, aquascaping, and giving the sand some time to settle.
