my dog ate my hermit crab

My crab crawled up a rock, on my power head and up the cord. Escaped through the back and down to the ground. My dog then ate him. The shell has come out but the body is still in my dog. I just can't believe it happen.

I am sorry for your loss, but please don't be upset that I am laughing right now.
I am sure the body of the crap was eaten by the acid in the dogs stomach where as the shell was strong enough to not be effected too much by the stomach acid.

Yes it's pretty funny, sad but funny. My dog is a 7lb Maltese and seeing that shell knowing it came out his little hole really freaks me out. I sure hope the body is not stuck in his belly.

I got another crab but moved the rock so he could not climb.
