Hey guys, I'm quite the regular at starting new threads here lol. I'm over 6 months in now and I've slowly been restocking and I'm about to the point where I have all of the fish I want!

The tank is a 55 gallon and I have:

3 green chromis
2 black and white clownfish
1 bicolor dottyback
1 sixline wrasse

And I was thinking of adding a large coral beauty to finish it off.

Do you guys find that an appropiate stocking list? Your thoughts on it? Will that be overstocking?

I would also like to get a clown goby and (i know, i'm probably really pushing it here.. a yellow eye kole tang (tang police aware lol))

Would you stop at the coral beauty, or could I get away with adding the clown goby and/or yellow eye kole tang too?

First tank and I kinda want to get everything lol

I personally think you could add the angel, but the sixline and/or dottyback may be aggressive towards the clown goby. I'm not sure, but I think it is a good possibility because those two are pretty aggressive fish. I hear the Kole will need a 75g as a minimum tank though.

I think the clown goby and coral beauty would be ok. Just know that clown goby are really tiny lol. As far as the tang, idk.

Thanks for that. Yeah I hadn't thought of that!
And yeah I know about the 70 gal min.. but I figured I have an 18 gallon sump so I'm pretty close to that ;) not in swimming space but in total water.. it's kind of just a wish :(

Lol I know, I've seen one. They are so cute though! I really think the wrasse would pick on it.. he's already chasing around the dottyback.. but they both go in and out of the rocks so there is plenty of space.

I'll probably just finish with adding the coral beauty! I'm excited.. buttt

I think I will need another tank in the future for a kole tang and clown goby :)

The clown goby is really really tiny as mentioned. And the Kpole tang should be on your next tank upgrade list, not this one. :-( Youa re getting kinda full already adn the Kole does need his space.

Thanks carey!

Okay so I think I'll just finish up with a coral beauty. That would give me 25" of adult fish.

Check it out carey, I'm really doing it now :) it's been a long venture

The coral beauty will look great! I love dwarf angels, they remind me of tangs, because they are colorful and active, but can be kept in smaller tanks.

Thanks carey!

I always told you that you had it in ya lol. Youre doing great now!

Found my sixline wrasse behind the tank today. Are these fish known to be jumpers or should I assume it's the cat?

Sixlines are known jumpers, if fact I am waiting on a call to go help get one out of the back of a nanocube.. The tank is completely covered it must have happened when we were putting coral in lastnight and wasn't paying attention to him.

I know a few people that have clown goby's in large tanks. They give off a mucus so other fish don't bother them usually. Anemones is another story they will eat them and they like to perch.

Ah, I did not know that. I hadn't read that they were jumpers. So I guess that one is my fault.

Thanks.

Glad I haven't planned on getting an anemone. I didn't know that they would eat the clown gobies!

Should be fine they are all quit, watch out for longnose, not really sure about it. Also don't put everything at once!

I finished up my fish stocking.
I got a baby yellow eye kole tang and a coral beauty.
I realize I am at/near the minimum requirements for the kole tang. But he is a baby and I may upgrade in the future, so I do have time. I will probably catch some crap for it.

They are hard to take pictures of right now as they are still kinda hiding and my phone is the only camera i have lol

So that makes my final fish stocking at 2 green chromis, 1 bicolor dottyback, 2 b&w clownfish, 1 kole tang, 1 coral beauty

Also I was playing around with the camera on my phone and it has an action shot panorama settings which is so awesome.. here are a few of those pictures!

Congrats on your new additions! Those photos look so cool!

it looks like you have a TON of b%w clowns.... you should make another thread asking if that many is ok in your tank lol...would cause some confusion

lol i know
the clowns were just the most active ones so the camera was like "snap snap snap snap"
