How strong is your light, and how "alive" was the Rick when you got it?

Some people say it might be the iodine but my parameters are, calcium 420, magnesium 1300, alkalinity 9, iodine 0.09 no nitrate. No ammonia, PH 8.4....

Wow, this is a weird scenario. I have never heard of liverock turning white. It could be iodine, but r u sure there is not something on the rock that is now bleaching out

My coraline algae bleaches in my reef tank and the rock turns white. I hear coraline prefers lower light. I'm running a 250w metal halide and some t5s though.
