I've got him 2 days ago and my tank is only 43 gallons and I'm going to be getting a 110 gallon for him real soon

this might be a stupid question but can stings survive in a 55g? even if its a smaller species?

Nah they need like 150 gallons or so with alot of floor space because even the smallest species get large

Well my LFS and other LFS said that it will be fine in my tank but later I will need a bigger tank

I've been wanting one but I don't want anything less than a 250 for one personally. My 40gal doesn't cut it anywhere near what they need for space. Don't get me wrong he (looks like I see the males claspers near the tail) is very nice!

If space is a problem I would suggest a 120 over the 110, still small for a stingray but more surface area than a 110
