Hello, my wife has just noticed her pair of clowns have velvet disease. I have some copper based treatment but there is also a green spotted puffer in the tank. I've searched online but I can't get a clear answer, some say you can use it in a puffer tank at half the dosage and some say no. Any feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I would defintely not add copper to your main tank, it would be best to remove the fish to a qt tank and does it there. Also will take less medicine and be easier to dose. As mentioned , copper can kill inverts.

Copper will seep into the sealant and leach back into the system Best to QT them I had to reseal a perfectly good 220 because of this I had client that thought "the fish looked sick" short story he killed $1500 in livestock and destroyed a good tank that was 2 yrs ago and i still want wrap his head in shrink wrap and hit it with a hair dyer
