Bigger the better but I would just build one to your specific needs and allowable space.

I just figure for $100 I can get a pre-fabbed sump and a nice pump... Is it easy to build a sump? I'd like a 20 gallon long, I just don't have many skills to build lol

So I'm thinking about getting the AGA mega flow... Should I use the bio balls or something else?

I would recommend not using bio balls b/c they are nitrate factory if not maintained regularly which can be tedious...A refugium, bio pellets, GFO reactor and/or carbon reactors would prob. bet better alternatives for filtration and minimizing nitrates.

So the pic of the sump I posted... Can I just remove the bio balls from it and put something else there?

Put in foam pads where the balls go as filters
