Need the basics on urchins

LFS suggested an urchin for a salt tank. It looked pretty cool but I know nothing about them. My plan is for a small 10g fowlr in the next 2-3 months.

What do I need to know about urchins before considering one?

Well, depends on the urchin really. But in a fish only tank, you don't have to worry about ones that will eat corals and inverts. It'll be to help you control the algae growth in your tank, i'd make sure you have the algae growth for one so it doesn't starve.

I have a few blue tuxedo urchins. Love them, they don't harm anything.

Is threre a limit on how many I could have in a 10g? I am thinking I would like to have two (eventually, once the tank has matured and algae is available).
