New lemon peel tang looking sad

We purchased a Lemon peel for our tank. The same day i noticed a little red spot on his side. today 1 week later he has what looks like a few scales missing from that area and is favoring one fin, the fin on that side.Lemon peel is eating well but worried about infection etc. Any information would be helpful.
