So i put my dead shrimp in the tank last night to start the cycle on my 45 gallon with 360 can filter by marineland with a little wet rock and live sand so do i still need to do weekly water changes while thats in there

Would that be till all the ammonia is fully gone cause i was told to take it out when the ammonia hits 5 ppm

What is "wet rock"?? lol

If you meant "live rock" and if you have enough than don't worry about taking the shrimp out.

No water changes while cycling.

I thought you could do all the water changed you wanted during cycleing? Or that just fish in cycleing? And one more thing, what do you mean "dead shrimp" is that a type of shrimp or are they actually dead shrimp?

Fishless cycle = noooo water change
Fish-in cycle = frequent water changes

Dead shrimp = cocktail shrimp from grocery store

Water changes during a fishless cycle would dramatically slow or completely stop the cycle process
