Live aquaria has that warning for just about every Sea Star they sell including the Sand Sifting Sea Star & Marble Sea Star.
But you’re right the Licknia species in particular are more sensitive then others when it comes to air exposure. Live aquaria is usually pretty accurate in their profiles.
