Just to our delight, we discovered some type of long worm in our tank. It is mostly a red colour, though it seems to vary...not sure why. It's about 2 inches long stretched out and very narrow. I only got two really crappy pics...the camera doesn't seem to want to focus on it well. I've also attached a picture of what I think it may be...but I'd welcome opinions!

And my guess:

I recently found some bristol worms doing a water change the other day. Found them by accident moving some rock around. Turned my stomache for a second. Lol. I believe they are harmless though. Not sure if he will last with my puffer though.

Like cmor said, good scavengers. And for the most part, yeah they are harmless. However, if they get to be VERY large, they could start taking chunks out of your inverts/fish. So just make sure you don't have any gross huge ones that look bigger then some of your tankmates. Also, don't ever touch these with your bare hands. The bristles on their bodies pack a powerful sting. And after the sting comes irritation, and infection if not cleaned properly.
