Over aeration

Is it possible to over aerate your aquarium. My tank has a lot of very very small bubbles in it. My fish have been doing great but I still wonder if this is causing any damage to them.

I don't think so but it does make me wonder too. I would slow the aeration if I were you.

Where are the micro bubbles coming from? a hang on filter, skimmer?

I`ve had small micro bubbles in my tank for yrs now. Never had any issues with fish or corals. Aeration is always a good thing but it does not come from the bubbles. It comes from good gas exchange at the surface which comes from good surface aggitation. This is how good aeration occurs.

Same here,,i actually like the look of them...Never had any problems either
