I would do 10% a week instead of 50% a month. By nutrient export I mean, how do you remove nutrients from your system? Everything you put in the tank (including food that has been eaten) must be removed somehow. Do you have a protein skimmer in the sump as well?

I want to do the 10% every week, but the place that I get the natural sea water is far away.

No I don't have a protein skimmer, but I'm planning to. What do you recommend?
