Painting overflow pipes

Just wondering if it safe to paint the pvc that is inside my tank to match my blue background. White PVC is a little unattractive.

Unless there is an aquarium safe paint, I'd have to say that isn't a good idea IMO.

roughen up the pipes slightly so corraline algae can attach

krylon fusion is safe, I've painted several canister intakes and various other things with it.

Walmart is the only place I've looked, so I know they have it. It's probably sold in about any hardware store, or stores like walmart.
