If the fish interferes in it's territory it's possible but they generally pair with goby's so it's pretty slim that will happen. Mine live peacefully together.

I suspect that the pistol is the bad guy in my tank...
I have no predators( algels, hogfish,cowfish,high hat)but all my hermits crabs desapeared and now, a small clown fish is also gone.

The hermits I could definitely see as coming up missing. I thought I lost mine but after a week of not seeing it, I just saw it last night. I would say I think a couple snails have gone MIA but not certain. Little strange about your clown. Hopefully it's just hiding out in a good spot and it shows up. Swimming, that is.

High hats are predators and will feed on smaller fish and crustaceans.
