Power filter

If I have a protein skimmer and a phosban reactor in my 30 gal tank... Do I still need my aquaclear 70 power filter?? Or can I remove it?

The filter will remove large particles from the water, that will just float around other wise.

I agree. The power filter will primarily serve as mechanical filtration and can't hurt to have. There is no such thing as too much filtration.
