Hey guys,

I have 2 maxi jet 900's. I was just wondering if there is a preferred direction that the heads should be directed for best circulation.

I was also wondering if i should allow any air flow as they do give me the option.

I noticing that after feeding, once a day, the shrimp brine and other debris is making a film at the top of the tank.

What do you guys think of those feeder walls?

Thoughts???

Your water should be going in a possible x shape patern across the tank. If possible point both of the powerheads towrd each other in opposite corners of the tank, this may help to achieve that.

Also do you have a protein skimmer? It would really help get rid of the 'gunk' on the surface of the water.

I would make sure that one is slightly pointed up for some good surface aggitation. This will help with aeration of your tank. It will also help break up that protien sheen on the surface. As mentioned a protien skimmer will help out also.
