Anyone have any good puffer pics they want to share?

Not yet unfortunately, I plan to add my puffer in the neat month. Puffers are the while reason I started a saltwater tank. :)

Do you have one?

I'll definitely keep up with this thread to see photos posted. Love puffers!

I got mine just a few days ago and already love him. He's got a ton of personality!

Woody how old is your fish, or how long have you kept him/her? Looks so wise. I love the feeding pic

Whoa!! Porc chop? First of all, best name for any fish ever, especially him! He is brutal with that clam! Like a wild hog

These r fantastic!! I went to shop today for another look...seems like my pet shop had a figure 8 in with the dwarf freshwaters?? Thought these were different and needed brackish conditions and eventually marine? Am I confused..even though tiny like the others his markings were quite distinctive?! Might be wrong, anyone have thoughts on this?

I kept a couple figure 8 freshwater puffers in a 100% freshwater tank. They are pretty cool fish. If they are brackish in the LFS you can turn them fresh slowly.

Figure 8 puffers should be kept it slight brackish water . They can be kept in fresh but they do a lot better with slight brackish. Green spotted puffers are the ones that go from brackish to full marine .

I've had it bout 3 months now such a brilliant fish does seem to like biting my figures too lol although it doesn't hurt much so don't mind. I named it vito after the don on the godfather as with 2 clowns and sleeper goby it's pretty much ruling my tank lol.

Ahh ok, shop thought they were all same species and had them in freshwater...he looked different to me! How long did yours live and how big did they get? Did they have other tank mates or just the 2 of them together?? Thanks for info, there seems to be quite a difference of opinion on these guy on the Internet!!

Thanks for info....can u do brackish with a normal freshwater basic set just by adding marine salt at water changes?? Please excuse ignorance...if I get one of these guys I want to offer best home I can :)

Yep sure can . Look in the freshwater fish profile section for a figure 8 thread written by a member Terrance . It should have everything you need to know in there.
