Purple

This is some of the LR from my 90g tank that has been set up for about a month and a half. I do regular water changes and the parameters are normal nitrates have never been over 10ppm. There are only 3 fish in the tank. I'm trying to figure out if this purple growth is normal or is there something I should be doing differently to keep it from happening. I only feed a small piece of seaweed on a clip in the am and a very small amount of mysis shrimp at night. Please help put my mind at ease.

That is coralline algae( the good kind) it's one of the things that make live rock live

Did you use any accelerator?

I use bio-matrix media in a media reactor in my sump but that's it.

Ok gotcha. I have a bottle of purple up, but not too sure if I want to use it... Any thoughts?

I don't like to use any chemicals in my tanks if I don't have to. But that's just me.

Yeah me either, but with all this bare rock... Just looks funny. Can't wait for the purple to set in. Going to go get a couple anemones this week and maybe 2 more clowns... Just a thought.
