Purple Rock

Have several purple rocks in my tank and the fish seem to be picking it off. I was told that the purple is a paint and not an algae or anything natural, is it ok to leave in with the fish picking at it, they have removed quite a few big chunks....

You talking about the "real reef rock" that's really fake reef rock with painted coraline on it? I suppose if there using it for reef rock it should be fish safe.
