putting life rock in sand-y water

I just put new sand in my aquarium. I took out all of the live rock and put it in a rubbermaid bucket full of tank water before-hand.

Can I put this rock in the water? The water is still pretty sandy and has a little bit of foam at the top. I don't have enough water in it to run my filters yet.. because I am still making RO/DI water for it.

I can see through it, but it's pretty murky.
It is salt water and heated.

I just don't want to kill my live rock but I need the container.

lol you wont "kill" live rock by putting it back in merky water
