I want to add some snails or a goby for CUC duties. My QT is a 10g w/ crushed coral substrate. Will scavengers be ok in there?
Also, the substrate is bright white, I added some white PVC. Would black PVC be significantly better?

snails no, fish yes (IMO).

I use black PVC when I have more than one in the tank and one is a bottom dweller (goby, blenny, etc) to try and give the impression of a darker place like hiding in a LR cave. No real science behind it, just a whacky personal theory.

I know some are of the opinion that everything needs to be QT and that`s OK. Better safe than sorry but I`m like the captain. I dont QT inverts but definitely fish.

Okay I give up what does QT mean, to many abbreviations I have noticed only ones I know so far is LR,FW,SW do you have a list?

TY I have some time today to read as much and learn as much as I can in here but it helps to know what some of these things mean.
