Quarantine a regal tang?

I quarantine all my new fish for a week or 2 before placing in my main tank. My quarantine is 10 gallons and I have read that it is not good to quarantine a blue hippo tang (Dory) due to the stress of it having to get resettled when put in the main tank. It eats good in quarantine but does hide out most of the time it sees someone walk by it. Any info on this? It has been in quarantine for a few days now, Thanks

Had to put my hippo tang in my 10 gal qt due to a parasite issue. Luckily it's only 2 1/2 in. but anyways if you peeked around the corner it would be swimming fine, but as soon as you got in front of the tank the darn thing would swim upside down, in circles and all kinds of crazy stuff. After a week of meds it looked great, so put it back in the main tank and has been great ever since.

IMO as long as its eating its prolly ok. Maybe hiding just cause its new surroundings. How big is it?

It is about 1 1/2 inches

Ok should be fine then. Just making sure its not too big for that tank. They get to be a 1'.
