Refugium light.

I have a Refugium on my 225 and I have never used one I have always had wet/dry trickles and I was wondering how long and when to have the light on in my Refugium?

When I had mg fuge I had lights on for 10 hours opposite the time in the display tank.

My refug light is on a timer- on at 10pm- off at 6am
