Removing all hermit crabs

Since I have way too much amphipods and don't have too much algae on the rocks, I moved all (~15) hermits into my sump. Has been a couple of days, the tank/water seems more clear, may be no more carbs moving the sand bed. Just want to share....

What do you now have in the tank to eat the uneaten fish food.? The crabs are detritus eaters not just algae. Do you have serpent stars or some other detritus eater?
Good luck! Kat
