ribbon eel food

my friend just purchased a ribbon eel which is close to 4ft long.what is the best food to feed it.they told him they are pickey eaters

They have a very dismal survival rate. What did they recommend feeding it? People should do their research BEFORE purchase, not after the fact. This is one eel that should be left in the ocean.

I agree with Hara. You can probably get them to eat all the other fish in your friend's tank, if there are any.

try anything smelly such as smelt, capelin, etc. you can try shrimp or squid as well. if not, gutload ghost shrimp and feed out.
