RO/DI water question.

no once you start making water and add your salt mix it should be properly buffered just let it mix well
 
If your tank conditions are good the pH will take care of itself. I personally choose to stay away from buffers. Abnormal pH levels is one of the most blatant indicators that we need to do something about our water quality, and adding a buffer is basically just like telling it to shut up and putting a temporary mask on the problem, rather than solving it.
