RO/DI water question.

When I get my unit, will I need to buffer the water up to proper ph, or should it be pretty close?

buffer is a substance that you use to raise pH I believe. I dont think its used to lower, just raise

If your tank conditions are good the pH will take care of itself. I personally choose to stay away from buffers. Abnormal pH levels is one of the most blatant indicators that we need to do something about our water quality, and adding a buffer is basically just like telling it to shut up and putting a temporary mask on the problem, rather than solving it.
just my opinion lol
