RO question
When adding fresh water to top off the tank does it matter if the water is just RO and not RO/DI? I just bought a RO unit but now I am wondering if I should have got RO/DI instead. Thanks for any advice.

Some use just RO some use RO/DI and some use distilled (I use distilled ) you will want to test it for total disolved solids ect ....you can just use the RO to mix and top off as long as your tests read 0

Generally speaking, a RO unit will get the water down to about 5-20 ppm TDS depending on the TDS of the water to begin with. A DI cartridge will take that down to 0 ppm TDS. RO alone is definitely better than plain tap water, but you can just buy a DI cartridge and add it to your RO unit.

I agree, I use RO/DI.
