Salt water tank clean up

So I have had my reef tank down for about 6 months and basically sitting in the garage,

It still has some residue in the bottom of it and some Purple Coralline Algae on the glass

What I want to know is what the best way to go about cleaning it up.

I plan on doing some fresh water tank

Is it glass or acrylic?

You can use a 20:1 water:vinegar solution to clean it out. Then, use a razor blade to scrape the coralline off of it. Then, rinse rinse rinse.
