As Roberz00 mentioned... yes, definitely inquire. Just because the rock is from a LFS doesn't mean it's cured. They could've just received it a day ago, a week ago... who knows. And there could be different rocks in different stages of die off all in one tank. Sometimes the shops aren't even sure how long a particular rock has been in the tank!
